Ours is a loving, supportive and respectful faith community. We are always ready to welcome new faces and hope you will join us for Mass soon.
Dear parents and friends,
Welcome to the St Agnes’ Catholic Parish School family.
Our family is made up of St Joseph’s Primary, St Agnes’ Primary, St Peter’s Primary, MacKillop College, St Joseph’s Regional College and Newman Senior Technical College. Our school family is also supported by St Joseph’s Family Services, which has St Joseph’s Pre School and Long Day Care, St Agnes’ Early Education Centre and Joey’s House Early Education Centre.
Many years ago, a principal said to parents enrolling their children that they were entrusting us with their greatest treasure. This is so true. In our catholic tradition, the word ‘Sacred’ means ‘worthy of or regarded with reverence and awe’. With this in mind, I have always held that ‘every child entrusted to us is sacred and that every staff member in our schools and pre-school and child care centres is a guardian angel’.
At St Agnes’ Parish, our vision is that ‘everything is to be orientated towards the praise and glory of God.’ So, at the very centre of the life of our schools is the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. By entrusting your child to us, you are forming a partnership with us, and together, we will, first and foremost, introduce and develop your child’s relationship with Jesus through prayer as your child’s life journey continues and, again, in partnership with you, your child will be introduced to the teachings of Jesus Christ and encouraged to live those teachings out in their own lives.
At St Peter’s Primary, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, prayer and many more of the qualities of Jesus are lived out each and every day by its staff and students. It is our deepest desire and hope that you support us and your child by living out these qualities at home and wherever you may be.
St Peter’s Primary and the whole of the St Agnes’ Parish family look forward to sharing and supporting your child’s journey in their faith and in their education.
God bless,
FR PAUL GOOLEY
St Agnes’ Parish Priest
