BREAKING NEWS NSWPSSA - ATHLETICS

Jai Davis

St Peter’s Nation, we are extremely proud and excited to announce that Jai Davis is off to the National Athletics Championships.
Jai competed at the NSWPSSA Championships yesterday in Shot Put. His first throw went just over 12m, and his 2nd was 11.52m. He was placed 3rd before his last throw. He then absolutely exploded in the circle to throw 12.32m and took SILVER!
When speaking to the family, this years State Championships was always going to more difficult. Jai had an injury and was in a cast. Secondly, this was his second time competing at this level, and was always going to be more difficult because of the expectations. However, his work effort, determination, persistence and dedication is amazing.
Of interest is the images when you compare the top 3 in 11 years boys shot.
On behalf of St Peter’s Primary School, we congratulate Jai and the family. Let’s go NSW!

SUMMER SPORTS

We wish our basketballers the very best at the Hastings Zone Summer Sports Trials on Monday. We have 7 athletes who will be showcasing their basketball skills and playing in a team environment.

ELECTIVE SPORTS

This week, Years 1 - 2 kicked off their Elective Sports Program and Years 3 - 6 had their second week. We trust all students are enjoying the opportunity to try a sport and challenge themselves.

I was fortunate to witness our students at Ten Pin Bowling this week and saw their wonderful PBS values on display.

THE NEXT WAVE OF SOCCEROOS & MATILDAS HIT THE PITCH

Our Kindys kicked off their Sporting Schools Soccer Program yesterday and enjoyed learning new soccer skills. This program will run for 4 weeks, and I trust your child enjoys the experience.

SCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL NOTES

This week, all Years 3 - 6 students were given a competitive School Swimming note. If your child intends to compete in the competitive section of our School Swimming carnival on Thursday, November 21, they must complete all details, nominate the events they would like to compete in and return by the due date. If any details still need to be completed, the form will be sent back to the student so that the missing information can be filled in. If your child isn’t planning to go in the competitive section, there is no need to return the form. Rather, they will still attend the carnival and participate in the non-competitive section of our swimming carnival.

This carnival acts as our trial for our school team to the Hastings Zone Swimming Championships in 2025. Individual awards will also be awarded to students 8-12 Years of age. Points are also given towards the Year 6 Sports Award.

If the Swimming Carnvial Note has been misplaced please find it on the link below for you to copy:
