Our School Swimming Carnival is Monday 17th October, 2022

at the Port Macquarie Olympic Pool.

This event is for all Years 3-6 students and a number of Year 1 and 2 students.

The swimming registration form is to be printed off, completed and returned to school if your child is competing in any competitive events. These competitive events will also form our school swimming team which will compete at Zone in mid February 2023.

All competitive forms must be returned to the school office no later than

Monday 10th October - First Day of Term 4

No forms will be accepted after this date.

Swimming Carnival Nomination Form - Years 3 to 6

If the form for Years 3-6 isn’t completed, your child will still attend the day, but will be part of the non competitive section of the day.

In order for our carnival to run in a very professional and safe manner, we do require parents to assist on the day (this could be all day or for a specified time period). Please complete the details on the nomination form and return to school.

SO CLOSE

3RD IN THE DIOCESE

Our Netball Team on Wednesday competed at the Lismore Diocesan Finals in Grafton. The girls had a great win against St Augustines of Coffs Harbour, and unfortunately drew their final game, which knocked them out of the Grand Final game. A big thank you to our families and our coaches (Miss McKenzie and Miss Dal Santo) for your outstanding efforts.

ALL SCHOOLS RUGBY LEAGUE HASTINGS SCHOOLS GALA DAY

On Tuesday, 55 students attended the All Schools Hastings Rugby League Gala Day in Port Macquarie. We had 4 teams competing, two Year 3/4 Teams and two Year 5/6 Teams. The competition in both divisions was tough and a great experience for all teams. Our Senior Team won the Open Division and our Year 4 Team were runners up in a tight game. Congratulations to our Year 5 and Year 3 teams who were playing against students a year older than them. A big thank you to Mr Garel, Mr Rowlatt and Mr Mitchell who coached the teams and provided wonderful guidance throughout the day.

SENIOR TEAM PLAYED THEIR LAST GAME

For the bulk of our Senior Rugby League Team, they played together for the last time as St Peter’s on Tuesday at the All Schools Hastings League Gala Day. It was just fascinating to listen to other teams' staff, families and players on their discussions around our team.

A comment I overheard was “This is the best team you will ever play against”.

A fitting tribute to an amazing team, and one that has sent us on a wonderful journey in 2022.

The team may never realise the enormity of what their efforts mean to us as a community. The team has brought us so much joy, happiness and excitement that will be remembered for many years to come. Shortly, anytime a person walks into the Don Farrell Hall, they will know what this team has achieved along with a number of other great sporting achievements that the mighty St Peter’s have won on the sporting fields over the years.

STATE CHAMPIONS MEDIA ALERT

Next month, our State Champions will appear in the Focus Magazine. We look forward to the article highlighting this amazing achievement.

IT'S TIME TO REST, WELL NOT FOR LONG !!

What a term of sport! We now rest for two weeks before we commence Summer Sport Trials, and our School Swimming Carnival. Early in Term 4, the NRL Development Representatives will see every class have the opportunity to learn new skills in Rugby League. Each session is 30 minutes, and will be conducted by NRL Development Officers.  Another sport in the pipeline later in the term is a Mid North Coast Baskatball Gala Day.
