DANCE CONCERT SUCCESS !!
What an amazing week it has been! We were so proud of the way in which all children handled a really busy week from the dress rehearsal, to the daytime run through, to the two night time concerts. As you will be aware this all happens through lots of work behind the scenes, so we thank everyone involved:
- Julie-Anne for being our amazing dance teacher, sharing her skills, time and energy in preparing our children.
- Michelle Baird for overseeing all of the coordination for the concert.
- Natalie Jennings, Natalie McKenzie and Holly Swadling for their coordination for the Dance Eisteddfod groups.
- Ashleigh Fowler and Peter Mitchell for their work with the MCs being prepared and filmed for a seamless transition between dances.
- All of our staff who contributed in all the ways that make it all come together.
- The Glasshouse for working with us to use this great venue and provide all that we needed for successful concerts.
- Frank Rugers, his group of tutors who work with our children each week, along with Bec Eakin as a parent who supports this to happen.
- All of you, our parents, who came along for the ride - helping with costumes and supporting the process to completion and for coming to watch.
- ESPECIALLY…..our amazing children who dazzled everyone and made this such a successful event.
We hope there is lots of rest now as you move into holidays.
Please enjoy a small SNEAK PEAK......

LEADERSHIP CHANGES IN TERM 4
Ms Karen Robson our AP Learning and Teaching will be taking some extended leave in Term 4. Due to this change, Mr Michael Gallery will be moving into her role from Weeks 4-10 and Mrs Rachael Cullen will be moving into the Leader of Pedagogy role during this time. We will communicate to our Year 6 parents how these changes impact on Mrs Cullen’s class, but be assured she will continue working with her class and the Year 6 team during this time. We appreciate our great leaders taking on roles to support our students during this time.

Important P & F Information For Our Parents
LEARNING
CREATIVE MATHEMATICS IN YEAR 4

Year 4 students have been learning all about creating tessellating patterns in Mathematics lessons. Students were taught about translating (sliding) shapes to form ongoing, infinite patterns. They were then challenged to make an array of at least 12 shapes using their shape templates and to create artworks in the playground using their imagination and creativity.
Well done to all of Year 4 for their efforts.

ENHANCING FAITH THROUGH SPORT
I'VE GOT YOU !!
While on the USA tour for the 2023 RE Congress, I heard many people in Los Angeles say, “I got you”. This may have been when ordering food, or needing assistance. Either way, it was a way of saying I’m looking after you / I can help / a form of support. It was such a popular saying, some in our RE Congress group even started saying it. Even when the RE Congress group had their last Zoom Meeting to discuss their projects, the saying “I got you” was used to support another person in our group. I’m not sure if Jesus ever said “I got you”, but he certainly displayed the behaviour of helping, supporting and looking after others.
So how does “I got you!” relate to sport? At the Year 3 - 4 Touch Gala Day, there were many “I got you!” moments, but one team in particular supported another boy to get a try which I thought stood out. The roar on the field when he tried was enormous, and as I looked over, the whole team was running to that boy, hugging him and giving out high fives.

GOOD LUCK MRS GRANT
As most families would know, we have sporting royalty at St Peter’s. Miss Robson’s family members are Reece Robson, who is the North Queensland Cowboys and NSW State of Origin player, as well as Callum Robson who is the the current #20 World Surf League Championship surfer. However, it doesn’t stop there, as we have Mrs Grant’s family member Harry Grant, who is the Melbourne Storm #9, QLD State of Origin player and part of the Australian Team Squad, Mrs Grant will head to Sydney this weekend to watch her nephew take on the might of the Panthers. We wish the Grant family all the best tonight, Go Storm!
FIT CLUB
A big thank you to Mrs Kipreotis and Miss Fowler for another outstanding Term of Fit Club. We done to all Fit Clubbers, and we can’t wait to get out and active in Term 4.

Year 5 had the opportunity to make a Ganya this week.
A Ganya, is a small humpy, temporary shelter, traditionally used by Australian Aboriginal people. This is the most common temporary shelter made from sticks and bark or paper bark sheets.
Leanne and Nikki Parsons were able to share their knowledge about the resources and their purpose.
