We really appreciate the great response from families to the link allocating timeslots to check in personally with your children’s teachers.
This will be a really productive opportunity for both parties to provide feedback on the first 6 months of this year and set 1 to 2 goals, which will foster our children’s learning and/or well-being through the remainder of the year.

CONTINUING THE ART THEME - LOO-SEUMS, LOOVRES, TOIL-ART OR ????
We are currently considering an apt name for our new toilet blocks.
The intention is to place children’s artworks on wall or partition panels with perspex coverings, that can be easily removed with artworks replaced over time.
If you have a cool name for the new toilets, please email our school address pmacp@lism.catholic.edu.au with your idea and we will allow the children to vote for a name they think best reflects the new spaces.
The Year 3 and 4 blocks will be started over the holidays and completed by mid next term.
Below are photos of the 3 new toilet blocks showing the walls and panels that may be backdrops for the artworks.

MISSION
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CONTINUES FOR OUR YEAR 4 AND 5 STUDENTS
Congratulations to all of our Year 4 and 5 students who have made, or will make their First Holy Communion this weekend. First Holy Communion is the third and final sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church. Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist lay the foundations of every Christian life. We are born a new by Baptism, strengthened by the Sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life. Thank you to all of the staff who assisted and supported our little people during this special time, and to our families who have chosen to gift their children a Catholic education and participation in Sacramental life.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. John 6:35

Years 5 and 6

OUR COMMUNITY IS SO PROUD OF YOU T
To say we are so proud of Tobias Rowlatt is an understatement. This week, Tobias played in the NSWPSSA Rugby League Carnival. He represented Polding and the team did incredibly well, so much so, that they made the State Final. Year 6 came into 4 Red for the final, we were all jammed packed to watch an outstanding role model of our school do something that he loves. We cheered the number 4 for Polding on. Many in the room, silently hoping that they too could achieve Tobias’ feats in years to come. Polding played Hunter in the final and they came up just short. However, to finish runners up in a State Final is an amazing achievement. Well done to the Rowlatt family for the wonderful commitment to not only Tobias, but to your entire family for giving your kids opportunities to play.

TEACHERS V STUDENTS
On Week 10 Friday (last day of school), we will hold the annual Teachers V Students sports game. This Term, we will be playing Netball which ties in very well to our recent Year 6 Netball Competition. The teachers know they will be challenged, but some huge whispers about the teachers ability are floating around the school grounds (unsure whether fact or fiction). Some of the teachers names on the grapevine include:
Miss Dal Santo - State Netballer who trialled for the Swifts.
Mr Gallery - Primary School Netball Goal Champion shooter of the Southern Districts.
Mrs Lawler - Defensive player of the Year 2019 Valley Netball Association.
